The Banzifeet certification mark focuses on three critical shoe elements: the width of the shoe in relation to the length (based on South African data), the flexibility of the toe box (how easy it will bend where your toes are) and the material of the upper of the shoe.

  • Width: the prescribed average width for each specific shoe length, with allowance of – 1.5 SD (standard deviation) from the specified width, applied to shoes for boys and girls respectively; and
  • Upper: Leather or natural, Breathable material (certified by manufacturer), and
  • Toe Box flexibility: More than 40° at shoe flexion point.
